Life Legacy
LAWRENCE, John Harris “Harry” – 76, formerly of Wilmot current resident of the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born March 29, 1936 in Dartmouth, NS he was the son of the late Edward and Effie (Harris) Lawrence. Harry joined the RCAF in 1955 and retired as a Master Warrant Officer after serving 35 years. Throughout his career he was stationed in various parts of Canada and Germany and eventually settled in Wilmot. Harry was an avid sports fan and had a passion for golf. Harry was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, Teresa (Gamache); caring father to daughters, Linda Alberts, Winnipeg, MB; Gail (Richard) Aldred, Melvern Square and Valerie (Robert) Morris, Canberra, Australia; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister, Shirley LaQuant, Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the charity of choice.
