Obituary

GAUDET, Aileen Charlotte - age 82, she was a daughter of the late William and Susan (McCabe) Hingley, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on November 1, 1932, Aileen was a resident of Truro and Kingston. After her graduation from Colchester County Academy in Truro, she was employed with Maritime Tel & Tel Truro. Aileen later was employed by Dominion and IGA stores. After settling in Kingston with her husband Gerald, she was employed by Wades Enterprises and later at CIBC in Greenwood and Kingston for 22 years. Aileen is survived by her children, Stephanie (James) Stevens, Morden; Kevin Gaudet, Hantsport; Charlene (David) Lowe, Rankin Inlet, NT; sisters, Norma Green, Maxine (Charles) Shearer; brothers, Ernest (Sylvia) Hingley, Earl (Ethel) Hingley, Preston (June) Hingley, Ronald (Wilma) Hingley (Ronald has since passed away), Flemming (Grace) Hingley, Robert (Pat) Hingley, Laurie (Carol) Hingley; grandchildren, Tamara, Reginald (Ciara), Charlotte (Jordan), Jason, Matthew (Kaylea), Kyle (Sonya); honorary granddaughter, Kristen. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Aileen was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Gerald Gaudet; son, Gerry Joseph; loving partner and friend, Douglas Cox; brothers, Parker and Russell Hingley; sisters, Anne Marble, Muriel Murray, Bertha Bonnyman and Marjorie Reid; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She was cremated, and there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 98, 1472 Veterans Lane, Kingston on Wednesday, November 19th at 1:00pm. Burial will take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston or to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch.
