Albert Charles
"Bert" Parker
January 18, 1948 – February 14, 2026
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bert Parker, 78, of Waterville, Kings Co., N.S., surrounded by his family and the compassionate care of Valley Hospice, Kentville, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Born in Berwick on January 18, 1948, Bert was the son of the late Francis and Helen (Taylor) Parker. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Dale V. Steadman; his daughter, Kim (Dana) Pineo, Waterville; his grandchildren, Andrew and Emma Pineo; his sisters, Judy (Brian) Kinsman, Bonnie (Gary) Wentzell, and Neta (Gary) Gould, all of Berwick; his sister in-law, Bridgett Parker, Grafton; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by brothers, Darrell and Howard "Skip" Parker. Bert worked as a painting contractor most of his life. He also spent many years at the family cottage by the shore, a place he loved dearly. He never refused a good game of 45's or a chance to work in his garden and listen to his favourite country classics. With him around, you could always count on his quick wit, a bit of playful teasing, and of course, plenty of laughter. Family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Valley Hospice for their wonderful care and dedication. In accordance with Bert's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Bert may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation or the Waterville & District Volunteer Fire Department. He will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will treasure our countless memories forever. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
