Obituary

Clarke, Albert Alexander – 87, of Kingston, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bell Island, Nfld, he was a son of the late Isreal and Elizabeth (Barrett) Clarke. Albert was a long-haul truck driver for 44 years when he lived in Toronto. He owned and operated a sawmill. Under the name Alex, he was an entertainer and produced his own country music CD. Albert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston. Surviving are his wife Betty Joan Lutes; daughter Shelley; sons Robert, Rodney, Raymond, and Michael; 27 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Marion and Rose and his brother Raymond. In keeping with Albert's wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place in Bell Island, Nfld at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.
