Obituary

VEINOT, Albert Frederick – Age 80 of Nictaux, NS passed away, Monday, April 23, 2018 at home. Born in Parkdale, Lunenburg Co., NS he was a son of the late Doris and Evelyn (Rafuse) Veinot. Albert was well known and loved by his many friends and community. He was a local businessman for over 50 years, including, Albert F. Veinot Auto Sales, D.A. Neily Electrical and active in the day to day operation of Carquest Auto Parts, Nictaux. Albert enjoyed woodworking and was a "workaholic". He was great joke teller and loved wheeling and dealing, going to weekly car auctions and Sunday drives. Albert will be sadly missed by his wife, Lowna (Gammon); son, Duane (Natasha) Veinot, Nictaux; step-son Russell (Mary) Gammon, Medford, Kings Co; step- daughter Kathy Gammon (Mike Tupper), Port Williams; sisters, Frances Saunders, Bridgetown and Isabel (Lyman) Parks, Nictaux Falls; daughter- in- law Debbie Veinot, Wilmot; grandchildren Tayler, Kinzee, Megan, Colton, Dylan, Nathan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Carolyn, son Troy, brothers Lloyd and Laurie in infancy, Edward, Raymond, Malcolm, sisters; Catherine and Phyllis. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donnie Wamboldt, Mark Powell and Johnny Sherman for their friendship and dedication shown to Albert over the years. In keeping with Albert's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service 7:00 PM Sunday, April 29th in the Hillside Cemetery, Port George, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
