WIEBE, Albert - 91 yrs, of Kingston, NS passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Niverville, Manitoba he was a son of the late John and Martha (Scharien) Wiebe. Albert was a veteran of the Second World War and served 31 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force. In his earlier years, he was an avid curler and golfer, but his passion was his garden. Albert loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years the former Lola Laybolt; his son, Graham (Cathie) Wiebe, Kingston; his sisters, Marjorie MacIntyre, Manitoba; Lena Brooks, Alberta; sister-in-law Norma Wiebe, Manitoba; grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) MacDonald, Beaver Bank, NS; Sean (Jaime) Wiebe, Miramichi, NB; great grandchildren, Lily and Ewan and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Mary, Emma, Lillian, Dorothy and brothers August and William. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Father Michael McKeage officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Kingston Legion. Interment will be in the St. Stephen Anglican Cemetery, Lower Ship Harbour 1:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
