Obituary

DAVIES, Alice Lillian 78 of North Kingston passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in North Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Aynard Ronald and Erma May (Toole) Parsons. Alice was married to a sailor in the British Navy. She lived in England, Scotland and Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Albert George Davies of Liverpool, England; two sisters Eva Parsons and Lorraine Bent. She is survived by sister Virginia (Pierre) Desrochers and brother Aynard (Donna) Parsons both of Kingston and nieces and nephews that loved her deeply. Alice worked at Moir's in Halifax for many years and came home to care for her Mother and Father in 1970. Her life was always dedicated to her family and will always be cherished for her kindness, loving and understanding. She was a volunteer at the Greenwood Hospital Auxiliary Opportunity Shop until she was unable. The family wishes to thank the VON for their kindness and caring, also to all the doctors and nurses at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11th, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in the North Kingston Public Cemetery. By request, family flowers only.
