RAFUSE, Allison Hugh ~ Age 89, of Kingston, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born on April 25, 1934, in Berwick (former Western Kings Memorial Hospital), he was a son of the late Douglas and Gabrielle (Scotney) Rafuse. Allison had been employed for 40 years at E.R. McMaster & Sons, that later became Kingston Lumber, retiring in May of 1995. Surviving are son, David (Holly) Rafuse, Aylesford; stepdaughter, Heather Veinot (Darrell Carnell), Centreville; son-in-law, Edward Comeau, Digby; grandsons, Ryan Rafuse, Aylesford; Brandon Stevens, Cambridge; sister, Pauline (Allison) Eisner, Coldbrook; several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his beloved fur babies, Mary Margaret and Tinkerbell. The family would like to say a special thank you to Richard Ross of Kingson, for being a life-long friend to Allison. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Alberta M. Bennett; daughters, Linda Jean and Vivian Jean, both in infancy stepdaughter, Joy Comeau; sisters, Marina (Gerald "Rocky") Lutz; Eleanor (Gordie) Zwicker; special friend, Gloria Grant. There will be no visitation. Funeral service followed by a reception will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev.
