HODGES, Altee Viola ~ Age 83, of Aylesford East, Kings Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born on November 3, 1941, in Lake George, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Keith V. and Ethel V. (Joudrey) Lutz. Prior to her marriage, Altee worked in private nursing homes in the local area. Besides being a loving wife, daughter, nanny, great nanny, sister, aunt and mother, she was a constant staple to her children, friends and nanny to everyone that knew her. Altee also took in many other children to care for when they needed it. She is survived by daughters, Sandra (Sam) Graves, Berwick; Patsy Keddy, Aylesford East; Susan (Chiz) Reid, Kentville; son, Douglas Hodges, Aylesford; grandchildren, Chris Hodges, Samantha Graves (Chris), Justin Keddy, Holly Kelly (Dayton), Rebecca Reid and Matthew (Kelsie) Hodges; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jaezer and Raddix Hodges; brother-in-law, John Hutt; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, A. Lawrence Hodges; brothers, Charlie and Alton Lutz; sister, Eileen Hutt. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Thursday evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. All are welcome to attend a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Pastor Patrick Gilbert will officiate, with a reception to follow in Aylesford Baptist Church Hall.
