Obituary

Angela Rose Bowers aka Lolly Rose was born in Ottawa, January 27, 1960 to Robert James Bowers and the late Theresa "Terry" Cecelia (O'Neill).

"Lolly Rose" was a beautiful, dainty, graceful "fairy" child, with the sweetest and most generous of natures. Ang was a loving and loyal soul who loved her family, friends, and music with all her heart. That never changed when she grew up. Throughout life's trials, her heart stayed the same. (At times, a bit of fiery temper... but in the end... always love!) She was very intelligent, determined, feisty, and persistent. Loyal to a fault, she did not suffer what she perceived as a threat of any kind to her family... by blood or love.

Her efficiency and people skills allowed her to become an excellent administrative coordinator before her health took her into retirement. Love of adventure kept her exploring with her Dad and with her friends, and involved long drives, LOTS of music and good food. Life is for LIVING!

When her mobility became limited... she used her mind and technology to reach out to many people and places around the world and had many friends on the net and in person. Dad, Andra Gaudet and Cindy (Cynthia) Perry were her closest friends and she loved them dearly.  Angie's quick wit and humorous sarcasm were both well used and well received by those close to her. She could make us all smile.

On June 6, 2023, we lost our wonderful and amazing daughter, mother, sister, cousin, auntie, friend. To the end she was brave, loving, and funny with her visiting family and the medical staff... and thinking of family and friends who could not be with us. We are comforted knowing that she will be smiling with Mom and all of our clan who has gone ahead. I hope that Patrick will only tease her gently... he had better... or he will find that his little sister can hold her own!

This is directly from Ang... as given to her best friend, Andra, on April 26, 2023. Andra asked about important things... Ang answered, "Dustin, my pride and joy. I love him so very much. I was here, now I am not. I love my family and my best friend, Andra. They are the most important possessions I have."

When asked "If you could give one message, what would it be?" she answered, "Care about each other. Live every day as it means something; never take anything for granted. That's the biggest thing. Don't take anything for granted. Enjoy what you've got." Love, Angela

Angie was an extremely talented crafter and very people oriented, generous with her time and with her spirit. Her smile could light a ballroom and welcome the world. She was a brilliant and efficient organizer, loved books, music, and car rides. Ang will be missed and always remembered.

Angie is survived by her loving father, Robert James Bowers; her son, always her pride and joy, Dustin Alexander White (Kyla Thomas); sister, Madge Cyr (Moe); brothers John Rauch (Cathy MacDonald-Rauch); Robert James Bowers Jr. (Lisa Whitfield-Bowers); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Terry (O'Neill) Bowers and her older brother, Patrick Roberts.

We would like to thank the medical teams at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, QEII, Halifax, and Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton for the care offered to Ang during her stays in each.
