MOLAND, Anne Frances - age 79, of Tremont, lost her battle with COPD on Friday, February 27th, 2015, at home where she has lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the past eighteen years. Born in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Weston and Dorothy (Snair) Redden. Anne is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Working hard all of her life, at the age of sixteen, Anne left home to work at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium in Kentville. Over the years she worked at the Buccaneer Motel, Sobeys, Karlsons Fish Plant and her last position held was at the Seabreeze Inn in Queensland where her fish cakes were a specialty. She enjoyed TV games shows, playing bingo, playing scratch tickets, daily Chronicle Herald crossword and cryptoquote which she enjoyed daily in her final years while her disease took its toll on her. With a generous and caring heart Anne was affectionately known as "Gramma" to most who knew her. You never left a visit without a treat or a trinket to take with you. She is survived by her son, Wayne (Corrine), Chester and grandson Tyler Moland (MacKenzie Thomson), Alberta; her daughter, Kathy (Paul), Tremont and granddaughter Sara Graves and partner Gina Isnor, Kentville and great granddaughter Leah Isnor. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Glenn and Weston; sisters Verna, Judy and Lida; husband Delson and son Norman. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honour her generous spirit by doing a random act of kindness for someone. A special thanks to Linda Isnor for her kind words, hymns and prayer in Gramma's final hours. Thank you to the Middleton Funeral Home for your kindness, guidance and your professionalism and to Dr. Yafai for his house visits over the years and to Daria Armstrong for her in-home blood collections. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Pinehill Cemetery, Chester in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448. Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
