Obituary

McWilliams, Annette "Larraine" - age 78 of Wilmot passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at home. Born in Wolfville, NS, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Gladys (Spencer) Spencer. Larraine was a life member, recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal and past president (3 years) of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Branch No. 98. She loved bingo and was past chairman of the bingo committee for many years. She enjoyed being at home with her family and loved to be outside.  Larraine will be sadly missed by her loving husband of  56 years, Andrew "Andy"; daughter Lisa Connell (Mark Findlay), Wilmot; son Shawn (Shelley), Hammonds Plains; brother John "Herbert" Spencer, Boiestown, NB; brother-in-law John McWilliams, England; grandchildren Aaron, Lauren, Trent and Wesley; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Violet, Bernice, and Annie; brothers Sterling (in infancy), Fred, Ronald, and Hewie; and brother-in-law Michael McWilliams. In keeping with Larraine's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Kingston Branch No 98, 1472 Veterans Lane, Kingston. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.  Donations in memory may be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
