POLKINHORN, Annie Laura Ann - 96 of Kingston N.S. passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late John and Susanne (Bishop) Simms. Ann was a former employee of Stevens Florist, Kingston and had been a volunteer with Valley Care Line. She had been made an Honorary President of the Opportunity Shop, Greenwood. Ann is survived by niece Joan Hagen, Timberlea and her family. She was predeceased by her husband Frank and sister Rita Hudson. Anns family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ainamo and the nurses of Soldiers Memorial Hospital as well as neighbours Carol Melnick, Eugene and Jackie Cowie, Gordon and Millie Skanes and Barb Bezanson. At Anns request, cremation has taken place. Private interment will be at a later date in the North Kingston Cemtery.
