Obituary

WREDENHAGEN, Antonia "Toni" ~ Age 94, Kingston, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2019, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born on May 30, 1924, in Bohringen, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Stefan and Maria (Hasler) Buhler. Toni was proud to be born a twin and as a young woman worked at a weaving factory in Germany. She came to Canada in 1956 with her husband and spent the next 44 years in Quebec. Toni was a retired custodian/janitor after 25 years with QIT. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook and everyone wanted to come to her home for her baking. Toni had lived in Nova Scotia since 2000 and will be missed by many for her beautiful smile that would light up a room. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Norman and his wife, Mary Wredenhagen, Kingston. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Rolf Wredenhagen; twin brother, Alfred; three other brothers and two sisters.  There will be no visitation. Graveside service will take place at 3 p.m., Thursday, February 7, at the Columbarium in Holy Cross Cemetery, Park Street, Kentville. Rev. Sarah Scott officiating. No flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Bus Fund at Grand View Manor, Berwick. The family would like say a special thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at Grand View Manor for the respect and compassion shown to Toni.
