Rex, Arthur James "Jim" ~ 89, of Greenwood Square, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Port Rexton, NL, he was a son of the late Robert Maxwell "Max" and Mary (Watts) Rex.

Jim was a company clerk with the Hudson's Bay Company at Pond Inlet on Baffin Island from 1951-1954. Jim retired from the Canadian Air Force after serving 31 years from 1955 – 1986. He was a lifetime member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston, an associate member of the Middleton Curling Club, and a former scout leader with Scouts Canada. Jim enjoyed golfing and travelling and led an adventurous life.

Surviving are his sons, Robert James (Diana) Rex, Winnipeg, MB; William Thomas (Theresa) Rex, Davidson, SK; John Wallis Rex, Brampton, ON; Peter Allen Rex (Steve Martin), Toronto, ON; sisters, June Anthony, St. John's, NL; Rosemary Hart, Fogo Island, NL; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Joan Anne (Wallis) Rex; sons David Andrew, Michael Wayne; sister Iris; brothers Harry and David; brother-in-law Austin Hart; and daughter-in-law Joan.

Memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston with Chaplain Wade Seymour officiating. Live Streaming will be available at 3:25 p.m. on the funeral home website for those who are unable to attend in person. Interment in Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot.
