MacIntosh, Arthur Goodwin - Age 91 of Meadowvale passed away August 15, 2022 at the Veterans unit, Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.  His last job was volunteering on this unit, until 2020 when COVID started. Arthur had many jobs in his lifetime, starting when he left the family home in Sable River to pick peaches in Ontario at age 15. He served 35 years in the Canadian Armed Forces in all three branches- Army, Navy, and Air Force, retiring in 1985.  Arthur was a signalman in the machine gun section during the Korean War.  After retirement he worked as a Commissionaire at Soldiers' Memorial.  He was a dedicated, loving caregiver to his wife, Verna, until she passed away in 2016. Our wonderful dad will always be remembered for his sense of humour and love of family.  Arthur was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  He is survived by his loving children, Mike (Sharon), Port Hardy, BC; Patricia (Ken), Calgary, AB; Wendy (Howie), Tremont, NS and his very much cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Amanda Smith, his special caregivers at AVHC, the doctors and staff of medical unit and DVA unit at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.
