Obituary

Roberts, Arthur L. - Age 83, of Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away Tuesday March 3, 2020 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in South Ohio, he was a son of the late Clarence and Florence (Allen) Roberts. Art worked as a Calibration Specialist. After serving in the Canadian Armed Forces he worked for CAE Electronics in Germany in the 1960's. He continued his career in Greenwood until his retirement in 2004.  Art was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 98, Kingston. He worked as Chief Flying Instructor for Greenwood Flying Club, where he enjoyed flying light aircraft.  Art enjoyed hunting and visits to the camp with his brothers. He was an avid golfer and belonged to both Paragon and Greenwood golf clubs. Art will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends. He is survived by daughters, Pam (Don) Vezina, Port Stanley, ON, Kim (Andy) McEwan, Carlisle, ON; sons, Todd (Martha) Roberts, North Williamston, Travis (Carrie) Roberts, Morden and long-time companion, Millie MacDonald; brother, Keith (Elsie) Roberts, Bedford; sisters, Carol (Irving) Randall, Woodstock, NB and Marilyn Crowell, Kemptville; grandchildren, Courtney, Chelsey, Chevelle, Sable, Margaret and Warren; great grandchildren, Amara, Kailen, Tristan and Zoe. Besides his parents, Art was also predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Travis) Roberts; brothers, Maynard, Garth, Bev, Leroy, Clarence Jr. and Kenny; sister, Hilda. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Sunday March 8th in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., Middleton toll free: 1-855-825-3448 where a memorial service will be held at 2 pm Monday March 9 th . Reverend Sarah Scott officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer`s Canada.
