INGRAHAM, Aubrey Winston – Age 104, of Middleton, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the Veterans Unit of Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton.
Born in Burgeo, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anetta (Strickland) Ingraham.
Aubrey was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with Canada’s Merchant Navy. Following the war, he continued his career in merchant shipping until his retirement. He was a founding member of Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton, where he served on several committees for many years.
Aubrey was a man dedicated to serving his community and truly enjoyed helping others, especially children. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Aubrey loved his family dearly, particularly his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Ingraham, Middleton; twin sons, Wayne (Candis) Ingraham, St. Albert, Alberta, and Winston Ingraham, Sydney, Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Ashley, Erica, Aubrey, Colette, Nicole, and Winston Michael; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Jocelyn, Ashley, Kenzie, Cory, Kara, Mason, Phillip, Emily, Zane, Ace, and Ava; and great-great-grandson, Hudson.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Verna; his sister, Harriett (Hattie); and his daughter-in-law, Dianne.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held Monday June 29, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton, with Rev. Sweis Ubels and Rev. Dr. Bill MacDougall officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
By request, family flowers only. Donations in Aubrey’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Albany Community Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
