Born in Bridgetown, he was the son of the late Harold and Leona (Israel) Thompson. Most of his life, he worked in autobody and painting, and had a love and passion for older cars. In Cuba, Audley would examine every parked car on the square – inside, outside, and underneath. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Lillian (Scott); two infant sons, Stanley Eugene and Jeffery Stephen; his second wife Pauline (White); sons Michael and Scott; brother Walter.
