SOMERS (Spurr), Audrey Bertha - 90yrs, of North Williamston, NS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by her family. Audrey devoted her life to raising her family. She loved knitting, playing cards and puzzles. Audrey loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Allen, Bridgewater; Sandra Spurr, North Williamston; her sons, Philip (Marilyn) Spurr, Pleasant River; Irvin (Debbie) Spurr, Nictaux; her sisters, Irene MacDonald, Auburn; Donna (Arthur) Langille, Madar's Cove; her brothers, Donald (Susan) Spurr, Sackville; Charles (Barbara) Spurr, Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Doreen (Dean) Meisner, Middleton; Philip (Heidi) Spurr, New Glasgow; Jonathan Allen, Bridgewater; Marsha (Steve) Burbidge, Brickton; Neil Spurr, Pleasant River; Sarah Allen (Leo Lingas), Toronto; Tina (Brian) Burgess, North Williamston; Taryn (Daniel) Broussard, Regina; Christopher Allen, Toronto; Jeffrey Spurr, Dartmouth; her great-grandchildren, Travis (Rosanna), Trevor, Kayla, Kaitlyn (Glen), Shaylee, Melissa, Brydon, Chase, Madison, Felecya, Rebecca, Tanner, Paige, Demitra, Hayden, Paige, Gabe, Eleni, Angeliki, Dominic; great great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Hailey, Mackenzie, step-daughters, Joyce (Bill) Moore, Fredericton; Gail (Randy) Goodwin, Bible Hill; Sharon (George) Young, Upper LaHave; their extended families; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Lewis Spurr; second husband John Somers; sisters, Phyllis Spicer; Elizabeth Aube and her brother Robert Spurr. Visitation will be held 7:00PM-9:00PM Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, March 15, 2014 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Private family interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery.
