DAHR, Burton "Dennis" – Age 89, of New Minas, NS passed away Saturday February 22 ^nd , 2020 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Myrtle (Robar) Dahr. Dennis loved to fish and hunt. He was a long time member of Halifax Rifles. He enjoyed a good game of Bingo. He will be fondly remembered as a great joke teller with a wonderful sense of humour. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Stoddart) Dahr, New Minas; daughters, Mae Jordan, Sackville; Susan (Doug) Towers, Mt. Uniacke; sons, David, Upper Sackville; Mark (Sandy), Kitchener, ON; step-daughter, Doris (Cecil) Millett, New Minas and their daughter, Shannon Sewards, North Alton; brother, Gordon (Barbara) Dahr, Nictaux; sister, Gloria MacDonald, New Glasgow; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his sons, John and Wayne in infancy; step daughter, Ann Elliott; son Dennis "Danny"; sister, Muriel Lutz and brother, Donald. In keeping with Dennis's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Rev. Eugene Foster officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Private interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
