JENNER, Barbara Lorraine ~ Age 71, of Kingston, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on November 1, 1953, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Lorraine (Parsons) Bent. Barbara loved the outdoors, and listening to country and western music. When Barbara was growing up, she could be found in the raspberry patch, usually covered in raspberries, her favorite berry of choice. Barbara particularly enjoyed attending and hosting yard sales, where many treasures could be found. She loved her family and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Barbara dearly loved her beautiful companion Buddy the cat. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Morton, Toronto, ON; sisters, June Kaiser (Gary Kenneally), Welsford; Karen Murphy (Percy), Middleton; brothers, Donald (Janet Hill); Alan Bent; Mikel Bent; Lloyd (Karla) Bent, all of Waterville; Leslie (Patches) Desrochers, Mt. Uniacke; three grandchildren, Thomas Labrador, Tanequa Lowe and Tyrin Morton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Spicer, Alice Scotney, Edith Johnstone, and Sheila Bent; brothers, George and Charlie Bent. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 8, 2025 , in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton. Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in Berwick Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
