MCGILL, Barbara Doreen – 80 of Nictaux South, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Clinton and Ruby Pauline (Bent) Mailman. Barbara retired after 20 years of service as a switchboard operator at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. She was a member of the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, arts and crafts, playing 45's and "chicken foot". Barbara will be remembered as a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband Robert; daughter Heather (Robert) Hazelton, Hantsport; sons Terry (Bonnie) McGill, New Albany and Bob (Melanie) McGill, New Minas; grandchildren Beverly, Joshua, Neal, Keigan, Shaun and Robyn; step-grandchildren Tyler and Alisha; three great grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. By request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 13 th in the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Private family interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany. Family flowers only please.
