Barbara Ethel Spidle, 80 of Wilmot. It is with grieving hearts the family of Barbara announce the passing of our mother, Saturday, November 28, 2015. Mom was born April 9th, 1935. Mom and Dad lived and raised their family in Wilmot, Nova Scotia where she quietly passed away at home. Mom is survived by her children Judy (Myles) Jordan, Sussex, NB, Alan (Joan) New Minas, Eric (Karen) Wilmot and Kirk (Sharon) Wilmot. Grandchildren Grant (Naomi), Arron, Philip (Dana), Justin, Amanda (Nick), Jody, Tina (Chad), Dawn, Cody (Emily), Kristine and Kyle. Great Grandchildren Anthony, Jessica, Damia, Jadyn and numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters Evelyn Brown, Verna (Ralph) Smith, Sister-in Law Shirley and brother Philip Archibald. Mom was predeceased by her husband Earle, parents Allena (Thorne) and Paul Weaver, and brother John. Mom enjoyed camping! Be it the companionship of fellow campers or visiting new places with her family, she loved to be on the road. She enjoyed being a part of the Good Sam Club and the fellowship it brought. When the weather turned cold it was time to Square Dance! How she loved getting dressed in matching outfits with Dad and dancing the night away. One of her many dancing highlights was the morning they danced on the CTV morning show. Be it camping or dancing Mom and Dad did it together and we/they were lucky to have their close friends Ken and Lill with them through it all, and if you needed tea Mom and Pat always had a pot on the stove. Many thanks to Dr. Paul McGuire, the Doctors and nursing staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Annapolis Health Centre and the VON. Visitation will be Monday, November 30 from 7 till 9 at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448. A Reception will be held at the funeral home following the celebration with interment following the reception at the Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
