TOWNSEND, Becky Emma ~ age 76 of Paradise, NS, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lockeport, NS, she was a daughter of Pansy (Hayden) Townsend, Kentville, and the late Harold Townsend.

Becky was a graduate of Horton District High School and received her Registered Nursing Diploma in Ottawa. She retired after a 30-year nursing career. She attended the Bridgetown Baptist Church, Becky enjoyed all genres of music and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Trevor (Beth) Hird, Kentville; mother, Pansy Townsend, Kentville; brother, Howard Townsend, North Alton; granddaughter, Grace Hird, Kentville; and nephew, Brock Muise, Bear River. Becky was predeceased by her father, Harold Townsend.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, with Rev. Dr. Steven Hopper officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Paradise Cemetery.
