Obituary

WHITE, Bernice Isabella ~ Age 73, Wilmot, Annapolis County. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of this wonderful woman on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Like in life she was surrounded with love and support from her adoring family. Bernice was born in Dundee, Scotland, daughter of the late John Bernard and Isabella Farmer (McKenzie) Dennison. She was born in Scotland but her true home was Combermere, Ontario where she grew up . Bernice was a loving daughter, caring sibling, thoughtful friend, devoted mother and grandmother and proud military wife. Although her true calling in life was as a wife and mother she did work over the years in different jobs but she is best remembered for her long tenure at Greenwood Canex before her retirement. After retirement she still volunteered her time as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 98, Kingston, and the Kingston Lions Club. Bernice was an avid dart player and will be missed by her many dart colleagues. Bernice was a beautiful soul with extreme kindness and a sense of humour that was contagious. She was the shining light, the heart of our family and will be missed beyond measure. Surviving are her son, Derek (Tammy) White, St. Stephen, N.B.; daughter, Leanne (White) Foster, Halifax; and her grandchildren, Matthew White and Julianna Foster; sisters, Betty Wiggins, Bancroft, Ont.; Sherry (Andy) Dennison, Sudbury, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was recently predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert Wayne White; sister, Diane Lalonde; brothers, John Gill and James Dennison. In keeping with Bernice's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Lions service followed by a Royal Canadian Legion service will begin at 2 p.m., Monday, July 30, in Royal Canadian Legion, 1472 Veterans Lane, Kingston. Donations in her memory may be made to Valley Regional Hospital I.C.U., Kingston Lions Club or to Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.  Online guestbook maybe signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
