BURNS (MacDonald), Bertha M.A. "Sandra" ~ age 78 of South Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by her family. Born in Antigonish, she was the eldest daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle (Latimer) MacDonald. Sandra will be sadly missed by her husband, Ray; daughters, Sandra Jean Giroux, Eastern Passage; Darlene Burns, West Chazy, NY; Debbie Burns, L'lle Perrot, QC; Beverly Volikakis, Incheon, South Korea; sister, Earldena "Deanie", Toronto, ON; wonderful grandchildren, Robin Miller, Courtney Robertson, Brandon Miller and their father, Mark Miller; Nasr, Calder, Ainsleigh and Khalid ElBagoury and Theodore Volikakis; great-grandchildren, McKenna and Huxlee; sister-in-law, Jean, St. Peters, NS; niece, Linda (Joe C.) Martell and family; and near and dear cousins. In keeping with Sandra's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A public graveside service will take place at Aylesford United Church Cemetery at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 23. Pastor Kay Dean D.M. officiating, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
