MINARD, Bessie Edith - 91 of Mt. Rose, Annapolis County passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bloomfield, Annapolis County, she was a daughter of the late Adelbert and Hazel (Gray) VanBuskirk. Bessie was a member of the Mt. Rose United Baptist Church and also the Ladies Auxiliary, Port Lorne Fire Department. She is survived by daughter Phyllis Chute, Phinney Cove (Terry Healy); son Robert Minard, Morristown; sister Dorothy Bishop, Clarence; brother Adelbert (Bernice) VanBuskirk, Bloomfield; grandchildren Joyce (Dave) Kaulbach, William Chute (Julie Forget), Dean Chute (Jill Mets); three great grandchildren as well as one great great grandchild and one on the way and several nieces and nephews. Bessie was predeceased by her husband Harold; sisters Flora and Hilda; son-in-law Frank Chute. At Bessie's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, Rev. Randy Legassie officiating.
