TAYLOR, Bette Pauline – Age 79, of Rockland, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Berwick, on April 16, 1939, she was the oldest daughter of the late William R. and Phyllis V. (Joudrey) Murphy. Mom was a hard worker, supporting her family and had cared for her husband, who had become disabled. She loved to laugh and enjoyed country music. Mom loved to attend bingo games, dances and spending time with her Tim Horton's crew. Surviving are her children, Rebecca "Becky" (Andrew) McDow, Murphy Lake; Monica (Robert "Bubby") Slauenwhite, Cambridge; Rodney Taylor, Rockland; grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Jordon, Randall, Jessica, Amber and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Owen and Rowan; siblings, Ronald (Sharon) Murphy, Grand View Manor, Berwick; Margaret (Richard) Foster, Aylesford; Judith Gill, Ontario; Gail Pineo, Dartmouth; Dorene Robar, North River; Rosemary (Eugene) Dykens, Millville; William Murphy, Aylesford; Joy (Danny) Herbert, Auburn; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clayton E. Taylor; sister, Jeanette Hehn Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m., Sunday evening in Grand View Manor, 110 Commercial St., Berwick, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday April 30. Rev. Sarah Scott and Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating, with a reception to follow.  Private interment will take place at a later date.
