Betty Eleanor
Hirtle
July 15, 1944 – October 2, 2024
HIRTLE (Penny), Betty Eleanor ~ Age 80, of Kingston, Kings Co. It is with heavy hearts and in disbelief that we the family announce the sudden passing of our dearly loved mother "Betty", on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born on July 15, 1944, in Kingston, Betty was a daughter of the late Carmen W. and Bertha V. (McKenzie) Penny.
Mom's passion was devoting her time to her beautiful flower gardens. She loved to treat her family and friends to her homemade donuts and sweets and loved to bake and could master anything. Betty loved to shop till she dropped. Mom was a very stylish lady. She loved her clothes, shoes and jewellery (especially Frenchy's) and was known as "Bargain Betty". Mom loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was so proud of them all. After five years without dad, she finally has received her wish, heaven has received our beautiful angel and our love birds will be reunited again, mom has earned her wings.
Surviving by her daughters, Darlene Hirtle (Dale Gallagher), Montreal; Sandra (Burton) Zwicker, Middleton; grandchildren, Krista MacLean, Joel Zwicker (Alyssa), Alicia MacLean and Christopher Zwicker (Laura); great grandchildren, Nikida Brisson MacLean, Leigha Brisson MacLean, Courtney Grassinger, Jacob Hallum, Karli Connell, Ainsley Connell, Cyrus Zwicker and Hans Zwicker; sister, Dolly Gebhardt, Medicine Hatt, Alberta; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Penny, Middleton; Donna Hirtle, Berwick; special friends "The Golden Girls", Beverly Phinney, Alice Hatch, Margaret Keddy, Gloria Legge and Gwen Hudgins.

If I had a flower for every time I thought of you. I could walk through my garden forever.
