WALSH, Betty Lorraine ~ age 73 of Middleton, NS passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Saint John, NB and grew up in Kingston N.B she was one 17 children of the late Thomas and Helen (Stevens) Mitchell. Betty was a devoted Pentecostal and was a member of several churches in New Brunswick and her church in Middleton. Betty is survived by her children, Rachel Walsh, Middleton; Norman Almon (Tamara Gillis), Waldec; Donnie Almon, Middleton; Daniel Almon (Sarah Davidson), New Minas; sisters, Judy Barr, Kingston, NB; Dorothy Myers; Joan (Doug) Wilson and Jeanette Mitchell, all of Saint John, NB; brothers, Samuel (Connie) Mitchell, Kingston, NB; Billy (Geraldine) Mitchell, Saint John, NB; Alan (Theresa) Mitchell, Young's Cove, NB; Danny Mitchell, Kingston, NB; Harold Mitchell, Saint John, NB; grandchildren Isaac Almon, Wyatt Almon, Daniel Almon Jr., Abby Almon, Angelina Almon and Damon Crosby, along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents. She was predeceased by her first husband, Norman Joseph Almon; second husband, Raymond Walsh; sisters Diane Chamberlaine, Marlene Mitchell, Doreen Smith; brothers Malcolm Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, brother in infancy Wayne Mitchell; granddaughters Faith Almon and Danielle Almon and daughter-in-law Natasha Hebert Almon.
She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and was the type of person to help anyone that needed even if it meant going without. Her greatest talent was telling people about the word of God and praying for people. She will be sadly missed by her family.
A funeral service, by invitation only, will be held 2:00PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Pastor Ryan Shephard officiating. For those unable to attend in person, a live webcast of the service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website at 1:55 p.m. ADT by selecting the "Live Stream" option at the top of the home page.
