NIXON, Blair Joseph Gabriel ~ Age 90 of Middleton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre. Born in Nelson, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Thomas and Flora (Hubbard) Nixon. Blair served 27 years as a radio operator with the Royal Canadian Military before retiring. He was a member of St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church; Middleton He loved bowling, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Blair loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Blair will be sadly missed by his daughter, Jo-Ann (Ben) Nixon, Ottawa; son, Brad (Dorinda) Nixon, Kingston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Louise; brothers, George, Robert, Harry, Charlie; sisters, Rita, Anna, Margaret, Lillian and Pat. There will be a Funeral Mass, followed by a reception, 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Middleton with Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will be in St. Monica's Cemetery, Middleton. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Donations in Blair's memory can be made to St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church.
