Obituary

BARKHOUSE, Blanche Marion Bebe 94, of Kingston, NS passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Clementsvale, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Beatrice (Welton) Taylor. Blanche worked as an office secretary in Canada and the United States. She was a one of a kind Mom and Grandmother. Blanche enjoyed almost anything that was fun - waterskiing, swimming, hunting, fishing, spending time at the Zwickers Lake cottage and arresting friends at Whites Campground, who may have stepped on a worm or some similar crime. She always enjoyed a nice snow bath in the winter when the mood hit her. She enjoyed polar bear dipping and felt like a kid when she got her butterfly tattoo. Blanche was always willing to help or comfort a friend or a family in need. She will be missed. She is survived by her daughter Linda Thompson (Ray Campbell) Kingston; son Kim Barkhouse, San Francisco, California; grandsons Lee Thompson, Troy Thompson and great granddaughter Emily Thompson all of Florida; sister-in-law Delma Taylor, Wilmot; nephews and nieces and extended family Les Armstrong, Liverpool. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Rex Barkhouse; sisters Dorothy, Marie and brother Walter. By Blanches request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Online condolences may be made through: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
