It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bonnie Eunice (Corbin) Baltzer, Mitchell, 94 of Aylesford, NS. Bonnie passed away on October 1, 2025, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton.

Bonnie was born in South Berwick on December 29, 1930, and she was the daughter of the late David Albert and Josephine Love (Wheeler) Corbin. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Ronald George Baltzer, sister Marion, Marita (Lincoln) Veno, Nan (Gordon) Higgins, brothers Albert (Myrtle) and John, son in law, David Porter and nephews, David Corbin, Darren Higgins and Orlay Veno.

She is survived by her second husband, Missionary Edgar Mitchell;  daughters, Rhonda (Jon) Carey and Shawna (the late David) Porter; grandchildren, Bryce (Krena), Shawn (Jennifer), Zachary (Angela), Isaac and Jessie (Gordon) Porter; great grandchildren, Alexandria, Riley, Katherine, Jackson and Oliver; stepson, Ray (Barbara); step grandchildren, Madeline (Cameron) Gates, Victoria Gates, William (Melissa), Ben (Alexis), Rebecca (Brian) and 11 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church where she was Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Bonnie loved the Lord and worked for him every day. On several occasions the Sunday School had 250 children and adults in Sunday School on a Sunday morning. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

There will be no visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 in the Middleton Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Gilbert officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. A very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Bonnie over the past weeks. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Aylesford Baptist Church or Aylesford and District Volunteer Fire Department.
