HENDERSHOT, Brandon Robert ~ Age 40, of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, formerly of Cambridge, Nova Scotia, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born on September 1, 1985, in Berwick, he was a son of Brian R. (Martina) Hendershot, Cambridge, and the late Brenda L. (MacKenzie)
Brandon loved spending time with his son, Jordon, who was his pride and joy. In recent years Brandon and Jordon always enjoyed going for drives to explore the beautiful Prairie lands together and became huge fans of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles and working on cars with his father (He always got to hold the flashlight) and would never miss a good family BBQ. Brandon loved playing basketball, softball growing up, as well he was big into gaming. When he moved to Saskatchewan Brandon joined the Maintenance team at the Canalta Hotel and became very popular with his handyman skills, he was very passionate about his career.
He will be remembered by his nieces who loved and adored him very much. A note from Summer; Uncle Brandon was a wonderful person to spend time with; he always made me laugh and smile since I was a little girl and had a truly good heart for all the right reasons. I Love him with all my heart and will cherish our memories.
Besides his father, he is survived by his son, Jordon Hendershot, Weyburn, Saskatchewan; sisters, Michelle (Andrew) Lockhart, Kentville; Meghan (Harlan) Mackrell, Saskatchewan; nieces, Summer and Sophie Lockhart; Kentville, grandfather, Robert “Bob” Hendershot, Berwick; close friend, Janika Slinn, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by grandparents, Hughie and Norma MacKenzie; Gail Hendershot.
A private celebration of Brandon’s life will take place at a later date. Interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.
