Hogg, Brenda Dale – 83, of Wilmot, Annapolis County, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Barrington Passage, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances (Smith) Watt. Brenda worked alongside Frank growing their business "Hoggs Trucking" but her pride was in the crystal shop she built with her daughter Carol. She was the "Nan" of Nan's Rock Shop. Her hobbies included painting, sketching, gardening, and let's not forget, she was an avid bowler. Brenda also had a passionate love for camping and being in nature with her family. Brenda's kitchen was always open to company whether for sharing stories, a helping hand, a meal, or just a piece of her amazing apple pie. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years, Frank Hogg, Wilmot; daughters, Carol Layton, Wilmot; Sharon Shirley, Aylesford; Janet (Steven) Loomer, Aylesford; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister Carol Oxner, Shelburne; several nieces, nephews, and family additions due to blended families. Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by daughter Susan Hare; sons-in-law Thomas Layton and Wayne Shirley; sisters Elaine Moore, Marjorie Radigan, Jean Bell, and Marlene DeRose; brothers Bruce and Leland Watt. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life followed by a reception will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2023 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev.
