It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Francis Batson, age 60, of Lawrencetown, announce his sudden passing Saturday February 8, 2025 at Valley Regional Hospital.  Born August 18, 1964, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Francis Batson and the late Pauline (Kennedy) Batson and spent most of his life in the Lawrencetown area.

Brian is survived by his father, Francis; brothers, Rick (Wanda); Mike; and James (Tina); nieces, Alicia (Philip); Emma (Benjamin); Mikayla (Cody); Breanna and Mya; and nephew Mitchel (Vanessa); many great nieces and nephews, along with Aunts Midge and Pat, and many cousins.  He was predeceased by his mother, Pauline; brother; Robert; grandparents, Jack and Rhoda Batson; and Effie Kennedy and Rufus Crouse.

Brian loved music, especially that of the 70's and 80's, he listened to lots of disco, and had an extensive collection.  He was also a huge fan of the shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  Most of the time he would solve the questions faster than the TV contestants.  If only he could have been a contestant in real life as he was full of trivia knowledge.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department members and the EHS team that attended to Brian at home and on route to Valley Regional Hospital, for their quick response and compassion.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10 , in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department, or a charity of your choice.

Brian always seemed happiest when he was with mom, and we have faith they have been reunited.
