LEWIS, Brian Edward – age 55 of Deep Brook, NS passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Born in Windsor, NS he was the son of William "Bill" and Beverley (Hutchinson) Lewis, Auburn, NS. Brian was employed with Acadian Seaplants as a Stationary Engineer and previously employed with the Annapolis Valley Regional Library and was a milk distributor for Baxter Dairy for many years. He attended Acadia University and later Dalhousie University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts. In his younger years, Brian worked on the gypsum boats and was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing, reading, music, antique Cadillac's and the Boston Bruins. Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Dylan Lewis, Halifax and Dylan's daughter Hailey; step- daughter, Natalie Blakeney, Halifax and her children Julia, Kelsey and Patrick; their mother, Barbara Blakeney, Halifax; brother, Peter Lewis (Beverly Foster), Gaspereau and children Jacob, Lauryn, Taylor and Haileigh and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and uncle. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Private family interment will be held in the North Kingston Cemetery.
