Obituary

OLIVER, Brian Patrick ~ of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away suddenly, at home on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the age of 55. He was born in Soest, Germany on July 5th, 1966. Predeceased by his brother, John Daryl Cecil Oliver in infancy; father, Cecil Felician Oliver, grandparents, John and Frances Oliver, and James and Madeline Brewer. Survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Helen Oliver; sisters, Magdalen (Jerry) Schofield and Deanna (David) Curran; children, Aaron Lloyd and Nikki-Marie (Joshua Sampson) Lloyd; grandson, Duncan Lloyd; nephews, Matthew Oliver, Jason Schofield, Zack Trahan and Owen Curran; and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. In his youth, Brian loved hunting, fishing, hockey and baseball. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had his favourite spot at the dinner table and would always call ahead to reserve his spot. Brian was very proud of his children and his grandson, who meant the world to him. Brian spent much of his leisure time learning new skills and trades, especially when it came to cooking, blacksmithing, and woodworking. He was also an avid gamer, and sci-fi and fantasy enthusiast. Brian spent many years working as a security guard for Paladin. In his years of working for Paladin, his coworkers were just like a second family to him. Brian was always in the background, but we always knew he was there. He would not hesitate to lend a hand when needed, even if it meant hopping on a plane to the other side of the country. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 25, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 120 Mill St., Berwick. Rev. Fr.
