Obituary

Brian Harley Perry -69, of Tiverton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at his home. Born September 21, 1956, he was a son of the late Bradford Junior and Jeanette (Lent) Perry.

Brian was a dedicated, loving father and husband. He worked on the Tiverton Ferry for 30 years. He was also a fisherman throughout his life, after retiring from the ferry he became a full-time lobster fisherman, then became Captain of the boat with long time deck hand of the Perry family, Bruce Guier and in recent years was joined by his own son Spencer. He enjoyed being out on the water aboard the boat fishing or just for leisure. He also enjoyed a good yarn spending time with his many good friends near and far.

Brian had an unforgettable laugh, enjoyed joking around, making people smile, and enticing a chuckle. He enjoyed playing Bingo, cribbage, and many other games. He was an avid Darts player for many years winning numerous awards. He was a long-time wrestling fan, watching almost every Monday and Friday night. He enjoyed driving, he liked his trucks and vehicles as well as riding his motorcycles.

He took his family on many memorable camping trips and other adventures. He very much enjoyed traveling in recent years with his dear girlfriend Marion. He also enjoyed a good Sunday drive. He very much loved his home on the hill for 40 years overlooking the harbor and watching all the boats sail through the Passage. Brian was a committed member of the Tiverton Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He is survived by his two sons, Joshua Perry, Digby; Spencer (Stephanie Smith) Perry, Yarmouth; his granddaughter MacKaya Perry and her mother Jennifer MacKay, Yellowknife; his brother Gregory (Leizel) Perry, Kingston; sister Crystal (Doug Sr.) Cann, Tiverton; aunt Barb, Saulnierville; his loving girlfriend Marion Crocker, Tiverton; much loved dog Maisie and two cats, Angel and Poppy; as well as many nephews and nieces; cousins, and extended family. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Marguerite "Sis" (Welch) Perry.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in Tiverton Baptist Church, Pastor Tim Long officiating. Burial will be in Central Haven Cemetery, Flour Cove, Central Grove. A reception at the Community Hall will follow. Donations in memory may be made to Tiverton Baptist Church.
