SABEAN, Brian Perry – 65, Of Port Lorne, NS. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian Sabean on Friday June 21, 2019 at home with his family. Born in Middleton, he was the younger son of Donald and Doris (Neaves) Sabean. Brian was a carpenter, farmer, avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He never gave up and showed incredible strength during his illness, completing a number of renovations to his home and property. Christmas was his favourite holiday and in addition to putting in his garden, he spent part of his remaining time completing the painting of his ceramic Santas, of which he was very proud.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (Bonnell) Sabean, Port Lorne; daughter, Christine, Dieppe, NB; sons Shaun (Nadine), Berwick and Justin (Katie Gallant), Halifax; granddaughters, Ebbony Sabean, Arianne Ferron and Harmony Sabean; siblings, Donna (Bill) Hayes, Nictaux, Wayne (Kathy), Port Lorne, Debra (Robert) White, Halifax, Frances (Gary) Connell, Clarence and Marilyn (Kevin) Cvitkovich, Halifax; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Darlene Letournal) Bonnell and Michael (Diane Bradbury ) Bonnell both of Sydney; long-time friends, Bud Lewis and Tim Lewis; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Brian's Life will be held 2pm Sunday June 23rd in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448 followed by a reception. Interment will take place in the Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Many thanks to Dr. Julia Merryweather and the nurses in the oncology department of the Valley Regional Hospital, Janet Welton and Drs. Karen Burch and Lori Burgess of palliative care and the VON.
