Brian Christopher Veinott

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Brian Christopher Veinott on July 30, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Brian was born on March 4, 1963, to Carolyn and Richard Veinott and was the cherished middle son in a close-knit family. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Carolyn, and his sister, Freda Lambert.

Brian approached life with a rare and admirable spirit. He lived in the present moment, finding joy in life's simple pleasures and embracing each day with optimism, resilience, and gratitude. Even through difficult times, he seldom complained, choosing instead to focus on the blessings around him and the people he loved.

A gifted chef, Brian transformed cooking into an art form. His kitchen was a place of creativity, generosity, and connection. Whether preparing a simple meal or an elaborate feast, he poured his heart into every dish. Those fortunate enough to gather around his table knew they were experiencing something special. His culinary talents were exceptional, and many would say he could rival the finest chefs anywhere.

Yet it was not only his cooking that made Brian unforgettable. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that could instantly lift the spirits of everyone around him. Friends and family will forever remember the familiar sound of his cheerful, drawn-out “yeeessss,” a greeting that was unmistakably Brian and carried with it warmth, welcome, and genuine affection.

Brian found peace and purpose in tending his garden. He delighted in nurturing vegetables and flowers alike, patiently cultivating beauty and abundance from the earth. In many ways, his garden reflected the life he lived—carefully tended, generously shared, and filled with quiet beauty.

He spent his life in the comfort of his childhood home, accompanied by his two beloved cats and surrounded by memories that connected him to the people and places he treasured most. Nothing brought Brian greater happiness than spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing a meal, telling stories, enjoying a laugh, or simply sitting together, he valued those moments above all else.

Brian leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and will carry his memory forward with affection and pride. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Todd Veinott (Jolana) and their children, Tiana and Aiden. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Ashlynd Lambert and Amber Lynn Hardison, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, generosity, and friendship.

Though cancer claimed Brian's life, it never diminished his spirit. He faced his journey with courage and dignity, leaving behind a legacy not measured by accomplishments alone, but by the countless lives he touched through his warmth, humor, generosity, and love.

As we remember Brian, we think of a hearty laugh echoing through a room, the aroma of a meal prepared with care, a flourishing garden in full bloom, and a familiar voice answering with an enthusiastic “yeeessss.” These are the gifts he leaves behind—simple, beautiful reminders of a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and brought joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in peace.

A visitation to Celebrate the Life of Brian will be held between 1:00 and 2:00p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.
