MILNER, Bruce William – 62 of East Margaretsville passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of Georgina (Potter) Yorke, New Brunswick and the late Alfred "Ted" Milner. Bruce retired as 3rd Engineer with the Canadian Coast Guard after 30 years of service, a career which he was extremely proud of. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his hobby farm and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Bruce is survived by his wife the former Glenda Parks; sons Lorne Milner (Leeann Stubbert), Lawrencetown, Halifax Co. and Geremy (Jennifer) Milner, Barrie, Ont.; brother Robert Milner, Deep Brook, Annapolis Co.; grandchildren Makayla, Savannah, Jeremy, Benjamin, Allie and Michael and half-sister Joanne Gillis, Wilmot. He was predeceased by his father and his sister Darlene Amero. By request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. A gathering for family and friends will be later this summer at the family home in East Margaretsville. Donations in memory may be made to the VON, Annapolis Valley Branch.
