FOSTER, Burpee Charles – Age 82 of Middleton, passed away March 30, 2017 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by his family. Born in Hampton, NS he was a son of the late Charles and Bertha (Balcom) Foster. Burpee had various occupations, including driving Taxi for Lawrence Durling in Bridgetown, Monuments for Meb Poole (Stocks Construction) and with Thompson Transfer. He had also worked in the woods hauling logs with a team of horses. Burpee was an avid C'Ber and his handle "Valley Trader". He was a huge Nascar Fan, and enjoyed watching his favorite driver # 48 Jimmie Johnson, taking the turns. He was also a member of the Hampton Baptist Church. Burpee is survived by his loving wife Edna (White) Foster, children; Wanda (Barry) Harris, Auburn, Judy Foster, Brickton, Brian (Denise Brushett), Brickton, Tom (Cindy Parsons), Middleton, Kimberly(Reid) Milbury, Bailey Lake, Lynn (Rod) Wade, Bridgetown, sisters; Merle(Bonnie) Young, Bridgetown, Deanne (Willis) Young, Hampton, Grandchildren; Carrie Taylor her friend Steve Grant, Middleton, Cassandra Taylor her friend Tim Baltzer, Meadowvale, Matthew Foster (Sarah Hudson), Middleton, Jessica Foster (Brad Cross), Nictaux,  Timothy Wade (Brocklyn Bishop), Bridgetown, Justin Wade (Evan MacDonald) Sydney CB., Christine  (Howard)Spiker, Westlock, AB., Jon-Paul (Tammy) Somerset, Barrie Ont., Stephan Somerset, Nictaux, Andrew Foster (Kristen Horton), Middleton, Lindsay Milbury (Brittany Robichaud) New Minas, Great-Grandchildren; Alex, Nate, Anihanna, Ethan, Kyla, Kylie, Carson, Ethen, Patrick, Jack, Ethan, Ryder, Kaycie, Tyson and Oliver. Burpee was predeceased by his brothers; Delbert and Leroy, sister; Alice and four infant siblings; Doe, Dora, Evelyn and Alonzo, niece; Eleanor Connell, nephews; Tony Young and Michael Connell. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00PM on Sunday, April 2th, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. from where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 3th, 2017 with Rev. Randy Legassie officiating. Interment will be in the Fairwiew Cemetery, Lawrencetown, NS. There will be a reception to follow in the Brickton Community Hall. Family flowers only.
