Obituary

PARKER, Burton Hamilton 71, of South Farmington passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at home. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Hardy and Lucile (Putnam) Parker. Burton spent his life farming and was an avid reader and walker. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband. He was a member and past Deacon of the Middleton Baptist Church where he also had served on various committees. Burton was also a past member of the Middleton Rink Commission and past member of the Annapolis County School Board. He is survived by his loving wife the former Rhonda Burrows; daughters, Jennifer (Jim) Hilborn, Falmouth; Michelle (Neil) Freeman, Middleton; brother, Gerald (Verna) Parker, South Farmington; sister, Nan (Bruce) Harvey, Truro; grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Sarah, Rachel; a nephew and several nieces; step-daughter, Sandi Bent (Michael Dougherty); step-son, Steve (Jodi) Bent, both of Chelsea, PQ; step-grandchildren, Josh, Kieran, Rebecca and Emily. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 8, 2011in the Middleton Baptist Church, the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery.
