SINGER, Patrick Byron ~ Age 69, of Wilmot, Annapolis Co., passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on February 26, 1953, in Windsor, Hants Co. he was a son of the late Patrick N. Shunamon and Edna A. Singer.
In earlier years, Byron was a truck driver, and was employed at Easson Transport and Thompson Moving and Storage and was later self-employed working in forestry. He was the founder, owner and operator of High Country Tire Shop, Wilmot, for over 30 years. Byron was a former member of Mid-Annapolis Valley Kinsmen Club and enjoyed time spent at the family cottage in Youngs Cove. He greatly missed his four-legged friend and companion, Cooper who passed away earlier this year.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Jean L. White; sons, Luke (Laura) Singer, Melvern Square; Brent Singer, Forest Glade; grandchildren, Wesley, Hallie, Brady, Jesse and Marley; half-sister, Barbara Duncan; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by half-sister, Berngula Phillips; half-brother, Bruce Singer.
A celebration of Byron's life will begin with a time of Remembrance at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 26 , followed by a reception until 4 p.m., in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Interment in North Kingston Cemetery, at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Mid-Annapolis Valley Kinsmen Club.
