PALMER, Carl Wallace ~ age 80, of Nicholsville, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late Claude and Beatrice (Blanchard) Palmer. Carl was a farmer and being an amputee, farm safety was very important to him. He founded and was chairman of the Canadian Farmers with Disabilities Registry. Carl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and loved his family dearly. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Evelyn (Hirtle); children, Nancy Ebeling, Alberta; Colin (Kim) Palmer, Saskatoon; Melody (Brad) Morse, Berwick; Tim (Virginia) Palmer, Nicholsville; Sister, Janet (David) Lowe, Berwick; brother, Alton Palmer, Millville; grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Lauren, Emily, Carter, David, Aaron, Grace, Margaret, Kyle, Neville, Garreth, Allana, Hanley, Liam and all their loving families as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Faylene and grandson Damon Woods. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the funeral time of 2:00 pm, Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Aylesford Fire Hall with Rev. Marie McCallum officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Private family interment will be in Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl's memory may be made to Black Rock Baptist Church or Mountain Lea Lodge.
