HARRIS, Carla Dawn ~ Age 54, of Coldbrook, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at her home. Born on December 29, 1965, in Berwick, she was a daughter of Donald E. Helpard, Waterville, and the late Marilyn E. (Travis) Helpard.  Carla grew up in the village of Waterville and was a graduate of Central Kings Rural High School, Cambridge. She had a life-long love for baseball, which she played and later coached. Carla was well known at one time for being the "lunch lady" at Coldbrook & District School and was long remembered by former students. She had worked at various jobs and during her time at Roscoe Construction, was very proud to have been part of the building of the present Berwick & District Volunteer Fire Station. Carla had later worked in the Dietary Department at Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre. Besides her father she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Arthur W. Harris; daughters, Courtney Harris, Middleton; Chelsea Harris, Kentville; brother, Dana (Heather) Helpard, Lantz; five nieces and one nephew; life time friend, Kathy Hazel, Berwick.  There will be no visitation and a private service will take place, due to public gathering restrictions.
