It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carmelita Marie Campbell, 62, of Greenwood, NS, formerly of Hay River, NT, and Inuvik, NT, on January 1st, 2025. Born February 27, 1962, in Happy Valley, Goose Bay, NFLD, she was the only daughter of the late Jeanette Marie (Hureau) and Bernie Reginald Campbell. Carmelita loved to travel with her husband Roger and enjoy summers at the cottage with her Golden Doodles Keeper and Bailey. Carmelita loved to garden and take rides in the side by side. After many years of living in the North, she was happy to call the Annapolis Valley home, but always loved keeping in contact and chatting with her many friends from Hay River, Inuvik, Whitehorse, Kamloops and many other places. Carmelita's care for her friends and family was profound. After spending many years caring for her elderly father, she found a meaningful career providing home care to other seniors in need. She worked hard from the age of 16 up until last month, she was a dedicated friend and caregiver, always going above and beyond to help her clients like she did her family. Her greatest joy in life was her three beautiful children whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She was incredibly proud of the young adults they've become. Carmelita leaves behind her loving husband Roger, Greenwood, NS; her son Mitchell, Edmonton, AB; her daughters Rachelle, Halifax, NS and Janelle, Edmonton, AB; brothers Brian, Brandon, MB and Kevin, Inuvik, NT. Carmelita had many nieces and nephews, whom she cared about greatly and talked about with joy. She was predeceased by her parents Jeanette and Bernie Campbell and her faithful dog Keeper.
