Obituary

BURNS, Carmon Nelson ~ Age 68, of Aylesford, formerly of Morden, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Floyd P. and Lila J. (Adams) Burns. Carmon had spent most of his life working as a furniture mover and truck driver for United Van lines. He worked for a brief period at E.F.R. Disposal and most recently as a flagman. Carmon loved to play darts, fish and enjoyed time spent playing cribbage always winning with games played with his wife. He enjoyed attending house parties and loved to sing when his health allowed him to. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, the former Sandra R. Nogler; son, Michael (Traci) Burns, Middleton; daughter, Cathy (Chad Millner) Burns, New Albany; grandchildren, Michael "JC" Burns, Jade Goza, Alandra & Jacob Wood, Dean & Brenden Millner; brothers, Harold (Dianna), Roger (Anita), Donnie (Shelley) & Kenny (Angela) Burns; sisters, Millie (Fred) Oickle, Beverly (the late Brian) Weihers, Pamela (Brad Carey) Hodges; several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by son, Carmon Allen Burns in infancy. There will be no visitation. All are welcome to attend a memorial service that will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev. John Moses officiating, with interment at a later date in Nictaux Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or to Valley Regional Hospital Foundation, Kentville.
